Choir Girls
they almost all cut it for me,
well, the ones that can hold their pitch
and dress up nice and learn all the words
and move with the music
and not give me that BS fake opera tone
but young women singing in large groups
has an effect on the whole atmosphere
Fathers applaud, mothers smile,
suitors leer and slick their hair,
children soak in the awe,
God smiles maybe a minute or two,
overtones reverberate,
the accompaniast nails it.
